EVENING WORSHIP SERVICE
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
Responsive Reading of Psalm 90
Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:1-18
Text: 2 Corinthians 4:8, 9
Sermon: “Struck Down, But Not Destroyed”
I. The Bible warns us that there are many troubles in life
(Job 5:6-7; Psalm 90:10; John 16:33).
These troubles include:
1) Being hard pressed – afflicted (8a)
2) Being perplexed (8b)
3) Being persecuted (9a)
4) Being struck down (9b)
II. How we are to persevere amid troubles:
1) By saving faith in Christ (13)
2) By the knowledge of Jesus’ resurrection (14) and our identity
with Him in life and in death (10-11)
3) By considering that our troubles are light and momentary
compared to the eternal glory for all who, by God’s grace, have
saving faith in Jesus Christ alone (17-18)

--------------------------------
See you on the Lord's day!

It will be a blessing to see you in church. Let's pray that the Lord is glorified in our gathering together and we each are edified in Christian truth
