"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” - Matthew 28:19-20
We are thankful for the privilege of supporting the following missionaries and associates:
Rev. Mike and Ardith Meekhoff live in the New Mexico town of Zuni. Mike serves as the pastor of the Zuni Church. He and Ardy mentor and disciple converts of the Zuni Native American Tribe.
Rev. Paul Mpindi is the French speaking minister of the Back to God Hour, presenting daily gospel radio messages to the French speaking people of France, Africa and other areas. Rev. Mpindi's wife, Charlotte, has an active e-mail ministry as she responds to the women who hear the message over the radio.
Rev. Victor Atallah is the director of Mideast Reformed Fellowship (MERF), in Larnaca, Cyprus. MERF brings the gospel to Muslims through the mideast and trains men for the ministry.
Mr. Kyle Stob, along with his wife, Bethany, work for Partners Worldwide in Zambia. Kyle's specific focus is on helping business there work by Biblical guidelines.
Evy Smith lives in Mali where she interacts with the local Muslim women. Along with evangelism and discipleship, she is involved in various projects which include a women's association and literacy programs.
We also have the privilege of being involved in local mission outreaches.
A Puppet Ministry involves our church youth; it is under the leadership of Bob and Barb Schutt. Life sized puppets and hand puppets are used to present the gospel message to children. The Puppet Ministry takes center stage in the daily Vacation Bible School held every year in June at our church. After our VBS the puppets travel each summer to Inez, Kentucky where they minister to children there.
Our prison ministry is conducted through participation with Crossroad Bible Ministry. Inmates are given Bible studies and papers to be completed. Those papers are reviewed and sent back with notes of encouragement.
Food for the needy is provided through participation with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Each month we sort, pack and purge food supplies for distribution to food banks, soup kitchens and emergency departments.
We also participate in Angel Tree, a gift-giving ministry of Prison Fellowship. Gifts are purchased and distributed to children in the name of their incarcerated parent, with the purpose of strengthening the bond that is weakened by the absence of that parent.
Our mission to the elderly is done through Sunday services presented to the residents of the Bridgeview Nursing Home. Sharing hymnals, smiles and hugs puts the message into action. The same is true of the Lightbearers who organize the worship services and ministries at the Oak Forest Hospital.
