Preparing for Corporate Worship  -  Sunday, May 11, 2025
Services at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM

Dear Friends,

The Lord has blessed many of us with godly Mothers and has given grace so that you ladies in the office of Mom are striving to raise your children in the Lord. What a good kingdom is the kingdom of our God.

-MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
So Sunday morning we will look at "A Mother's Grief; A Mother's Relief" Ruth 1.15-22; 4.13-22. There is so much of the mercy of Christ for our Moms here.

------------------------

Scripture Reading: Ruth 1.15-19a; 4.13-22

 Text: Ruth 1.15-22; 4.13-22

Message:     “A Mother’s Grief; A Mother’s Relief”

Theme: The life of a covenant mother under God’s sweet, mysterious providence is hard and blessed

  1. Naomi didn’t pick this path of grief, God did

  2. In the midst of her struggle, God brings Ruth

  3. God picks for Ruth the path of Covenant Mother

  4. Naomi finds sweet relief from God’s merciful providence

EVENING WORSHIP SERVICE
Sunday evening we take up the incredibly important matter of the use (and restriction of the use) of God's Name. Do you remember that no sin makes God more angry than blaspheme? We will look at Psalm 50.14, 15 with help from Lord's day 36 to understand "Proper Use of The Name".

Responsive Reading of Leviticus 24:10-16
Scripture Reading: Psalm 50

Confessional Reading: Lord’s Day 36

Text: Psalm 50.14, 15

Sermon:      “Proper Use of The Name”

Theme: God’s people are restricted and freed in the use of God’s Name

  1. How we are restricted in our use of The Name
a).Can we give ourselves over to Him and also malign His Name??

b). Can we fulfill our vows to Him but neglect justice??

  1. How we are freed in our use of The Name
a). We ALONE get to Name His Name in prayer

b). We ALONE have the promise that He will use His Name for us!

             --------------------------------
I hope we can see one another in church Sunday.  In either case, let's keep praying for one another in these challenging days.

So we have important and helpful truths to fill our hearts this Lord's day. Pray with me that our God would be very kind to us and grant us what we need.

Please pray for one another and for our gathering to celebrate the salvation given to us by Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless and care for each of you and your family members.

Please pray that all would be done to the glory of the Lord and for our good. Pray for strength

May our kind and strong God bless and keep each of you toward the Lord's day upcoming.

Please pray that each ear will be open, all hearts soft to receive, and our hands and feet and mouths ready to respond to all our God tells us.

---------------
Would you all commit to pray for the peace of the Lord to calm the hearts of those who are facing some turmoil and challenge right now? As we know, the enemy is ever busy trying to draw our attention away from the joy of the Lord in the salvation Jesus has won for us. Pray that Jesus would increase in all things in our minds and hearts!

May you have a fruitful day and a joy about returning to the house of the Lord!

It will be a blessing to see you in church. Let's pray that the Lord is glorified in our gathering together and we each are edified in Christian truth

May each of you know His great mercy!

May the Lord receive the honor and glory from everything we do.

May the Lord richly bless each of you as you prepare for the Lord's day.

--------------

Please be much in prayer for worship on the Lord's day

---------------
There is no better place to be on Sunday!
