First United Reformed Church of Oak Lawn
Preparing for Corporate Worship - Sunday, February 16, 2025
Services at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Dear Friends,
The Lord is faithful to His Word and character every day. We struggle with weaknesses and sinfulness each day. The answer to this daily tension is the mercy of God found full and free in Jesus Christ. We live in Him, not apart from Him. Praise the Lord for His indescribable grace!
Our help is in the Name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth!
Those words encourage and comfort us. It is good to regularly remind ourselves of this all important truth. Then we ask our God for grace and strength to live faithfully before His face. With all of that in mind, how has this week been going for you?

-MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
Let's also look forward with delight and expectation to the Lord's day upcoming. In the morning we will continue with Mark 15. 42-47 looking at 'Joseph's Boldness for Jesus' Burial'. There are wonderful and important truths to be gleaned from this text. Pray with me that the Lord will richly bless us from His Word here.

EVENING WORSHIP SERVICE
In the evening I want to draw our attention to the end of the book of James - 5.19, 20 - where we see the duty we each have to one another, duty assigned by the Lord. We are each called to go after wandering Christians. We need this pointed Word. Let's humble ourselves and pray that the Lord would touch our hearts with His Word to His church. Wanna know what that means? Come Sunday night
------------------------------
Responsive Reading of Romans 16.1-16
Scripture Reading: James 5.19-20
Text: James 5.19, 20
Sermon: “Go Get Them!”

--------------------------------
May the Lord bless and care for each of you and your family members.
Please pray that all would be done to the glory of the Lord and for our good. Pray for strength and wisdom as we prepare soon to enter a new year.
May our kind and strong God bless and keep each of you toward the Lord's day upcoming.
Please pray that each ear will be open, all hearts soft to receive, and our hands and feet and mouths ready to respond to all our God tells us.

---------------
May you have a fruitful day and a joy about returning to the house of the Lord!
It will be a blessing to see you in church. Let's pray that the Lord is glorified in our gathering together and we each are edified in Christian truth
May each of you know His great mercy!
May the Lord receive the honor and glory from everything we do.
May the Lord richly bless each of you as you prepare for the Lord's day.
--------------
Please be much in prayer for worship on the Lord's day
---------------
There is no better place to be on Sunday!
